Hands is a documentary film about Japan’s National Living Treasures; those artisans that continue to perform their craft in the traditional methods despite industrialization and technology. Music replaces narration in this film told by it’s exquisite visuals. Hands won the Grand Award for the First International Craft Film Festival in 1976.
