Paul Hart Producer / Editor / Location Sound As co-producer and editor of The Idealist — James Beveridge, Film Guru, Paul has shaped a beautiful film, which is currently being promoted throughout the international festival circuit and will air on TVO in the spring of 2006. In 2003, Paul co-founded Team Adrenaline and directed a High Definition Film "The Calling" for the first ever Olympic Spirit Venue. Paul used the newest conversion and compression technologies to streamline the numerous source formats into a beautiful High-Definition product. Incorporating over 750 shots, 2500 sound effects, 3D and 2D animation, and individually compositing each frame, The Calling is more than just a film — it is an experience. Paul Hart has worked in the broadcast industry for over 30 years. Since joining Beevision as Vice President and co-owner in 1997, Paul has worked to stretch the technical limits of what the industry believes is possible. Even Apple has requested that Paul comment on their new G5 system in tandem with other Apple software quoting him in their ads for the computer. Paul began his career in 1972 working for CKSO radio in Sudbury. Here he worked producing commercials and as an on-air operator. In 1974 he joined CKSO Television and worked as an editor, switcher and director. In 1978 he joined The CTV Television Network and worked on a wide range of programming. His roles included technical director, editor and graphic designer on various productions such as The CTV National News, Canada AM, W5, and The NBA on CTV. Paul was also the Senior Technical Director for CTV at the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary, the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, Spain and the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer, Norway. As an accomplished Editor and Director, he has cut numerous openings and features for programs such as The World Figure Skating Championships, NBA on CTV, Bell Canadian Open Golf, duMaurier Tennis, Player's auto racing, W5, and the Canadian Country Music Awards. Paul has also designed openings and the graphic looks for many productions such as W5, Player's Tennis, Canadian Country Music Awards, NBA on CTV. In 2001, Paul edited numerous multimedia presentations for Harbourfront Centre's "Festival of Creative Genius", honouring artists such as Bernardo Bertolucci, Joni Mitchell, Peter Gabriel, and Quincy Jones. |
